Canon PowerShot G5 in MACRO mode

MACRO TESTS

Here I just want to give people a sense of what the Canon PowerShot G5 is capable of delivering in Macro mode. There is not point to compare it with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm/3.5 or any 35mm SLR specialized macro-lenses as the latters are definitely of a higher quality than the general-purpose zoom lens of the Canon G5.

When using the Canon-provided Photo Editor ZoomBrowser EX, you can read shoot data (see list below) associated with each image file. If you alter the ORIGINAL JPEG file with other third-party photo editing software, make sure to save the altered version under a different name if you don't want to lose the shoot data, or copy the shoot data onto a text file for future reference before saving it.

I applied Unsharp Mask, Auto Contrast and Auto Color on the 2.5MB file and saved it in High Mode with a value of 8 using Photoshop (1MB).
